About
Gameday is a female-run children’s content company that develops family-friendly books, digital content, apps, and games designed to both educate and celebrate civic pride, including regional history, local tourist attractions, geography, culture and cuisine, and cherished sports rituals that appeal to the next generation of sports fans.
Gameday is entering the sports product marketplace under trademark licenses with iconic global professional sports properties, providing teams and leagues a one-of-kind tool in ongoing efforts to address the greatest risk factors facing these properties: an aging fan base and difficulty broadening fan demographics.
Founded by Marnie Schneider, the granddaughter of former Philadelphia Eagles owner Leonard Tose, and the daughter of the NFL’s first female general manager, Susan Spencer, Marnie’s stories are loosely based on her personal experiences growing up in a sports family
Freddie and Fumble LOVE Football
And they’re on a mission to see every team in the country on their home turf. But these cities have more to offer than just the game: there are historical sites, national parks, museums, and even local dishes—Freddie and Fumble want to see it all!
For their first trip, the dynamic duo headed to Philadelphia to see Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, visit Reading Terminal Market, and snag a cheesesteak at Pat’s and Geno’s before attending the Eagles game on Sunday with Freddie’s football-loving family. Now they’re on the way to Chicago to see Millennium Park, the Navy Pier, and other historic locations to learn everything they can about the Windy City. There are more and more cities to discover, each with their own special history and traditions! Maybe Freddie and Fumble will ride to the top of the Seattle Space Needle or do the Lambeau Leap in Green Bay. There’s so much to do and so many wonderful cities to explore! What will Freddie and Fumble discover next?
Successful Testing of Gameday Concept
Since 2018, Gameday has tested children’s books in several key markets receiving positive consumer and media feedback informing its full launch plan as outlined in this document. Specifically, the company has proven:
Consumers embrace overall concept and validate demand for content
Team partners find value in having a focused tool that squarely addresses problematic demographics
Marnie Schneider has established herself as a leading and credible influencer through engaging youngsters with sports-related content
Sports fans getting older, less diverse,
and shrinking in numbers
According to a recent study published in the Sports Business Journal, sports fans are growing older and less diverse, causing concerns about long-term growth opportunities for sports properties. With declining youth sports participation, declining sports viewership, and increased competition from other forms of entertainment, the undeniable shrinking market is the business of sports in the twenty-first century.
